Sahil is a corporate partner with more than twenty years of experience, nearly twelve of which have been spent practicing in Oman.

He specializes in cross-border investments, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and regulatory matters, where he is highly active on the transactional front. However, he considers himself a strong generalist. Corporate and commercial advisory also form a significant part of his practice, including providing legal advice and opinions on company law, securities law, corporate governance, antitrust regulations, free zone rules, and employment legislation. Sahil is also involved in various dispute resolution mandates, particularly those related to his practice areas, such as shareholder disputes, commercial arbitration, regulatory challenges, and disputes involving EPC contracts.

Sahil advises a diverse range of clients including multinational corporations, investment companies, sovereign wealth funds, free zone operators, and start-ups. His industry experience spans investment, real estate, hospitality, retail, logistics, and fisheries/aquaculture sectors.

  • Assisted Al Madina Hotel Development LLC in the purchase of three hotel properties valued at USD 100 million, less related borrowings on each property.
  • Advised Hefestos Capital, a Serbian investment banking company, on acquiring a 100% stake in TMK Gulf International Pipe Industry LLC, one of Oman’s largest pipe manufacturers, involving five separate share purchases from both majority and minority shareholders.
  • Represented Al Tamman Real Estate, a real estate investment company promoted by Muscat Overseas Group, in the strategic sale of immovable assets, licenses, and property rights used to operate a hypermarket, valued at USD 45 million, to an acquiring SPV set up by a regional investment fund.
  • Advised a Cyprus-based investment firm on its USD 26.5 million acquisition of a majority stake in the holding company of Mall of Muscat, the largest mall in Oman.
  • Assisted Fisheries Development Oman, the government’s investment arm for fisheries and aquaculture, with two joint ventures involving D42, a multinational diversified group. One venture focused on shrimp aquaculture development in Oman, the other on business opportunities in artisanal and coastal fisheries.
  • Assisted Ramooz National LLC, a leading Omani conglomerate, in a consortium arrangement with a global wastewater treatment company to partner on a USD 43 million EPC project for an industrial waste treatment facility in Sohar Free Zone awarded by Be’ah, Oman’s national procurement company for wastewater projects.
  • Advised Al Wusta Fisheries Industries LLC, a subsidiary of the government’s fisheries investment arm, in a joint venture with a Norwegian commercial fishing company, alongside a chartering arrangement between the Norwegian partner and the joint venture.
  • Successfully represented ALS Logistics Solutions LLC, UAE, a subcontractor on the new Muscat and Salalah airports projects, in ICC arbitration proceedings against the main contractor to recover unpaid contractual amounts, contested variations, and prolongation costs totaling approximately USD 4.4 million.
