Following this merger, Bertrand Dumon , the founding partner of Dumon & Partners, will become a partner of BSA, based in Dubai and will lead the Francophone team.

This alliance marks the opening of the first representative office in Europe for BSA, a regional law firm covering the entire Middle East. BSA was established in 2001 and has grown through its eight Middle East offices covering six different countries. Paris thus becomes its ninth office.

Dr Ahmad Bin Hezeem, senior partner of BSA, former director general of Dubai Courts (Dubai Court) believes that the presence of BSA in Paris will facilitate the development of French companies and investors wishing to establish themselves in the MENA region and will be able to better serving investors from the Middle East in France. BSA has seen a real increase in demand for legal services from French speakers in the Middle East and Africa.

Michael Kortbawi adds: “We have been working with Bertrand for almost 9 years across the Middle East where we have offices in almost all jurisdictions. This marriage is therefore the natural result of a very old collaboration with Him, a guarantee of efficiency and trust. We are happy to have around the table with us in Dubai a French corporate lawyer of his quality, trained in Anglo-Saxon, former partner of leading UK and US firms and experienced in Joint-Venture, M&A, investment and national and international alliances on behalf of leaders and companies. ”

Jimmy Haoula, managing partner of BSA, explains: “With this merger, we become the first firm in the Middle East with a representative office in Paris and a large-scale French-speaking team spread across all of our offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi. , in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Beirut and Oman.”

Bertrand Dumon concludes: “Our cultures are actually quite close. We operate in a civil law system, not common law. We are lawyers for entrepreneurs, family conglomerates and multinationals who seek solutions to their problems and not consultations sold by the kilogram. Only the synthesis of international and local practice allows us to fully understand the difficulties encountered by our clients in the Middle East. In this, we provide a much more sophisticated and efficient service than our main competitors, the Anglo-Saxon firms. I can therefore only welcome the quality of this new service offering for those who wish to conquer the Middle East while feeling truly supported.”
